Chemical - In most cases, at least a minimal amount of chemical control may be necessary to gain and maintain long-term control. However, the more sanitation problems that are corrected, the more exclusion that is done, the more cultural behaviors that are altered, and the more trapping that can be performed, the less chemicals need be applied.

Conventional Liquid Termite Treatments - For the past 50 years, traditional liquid treatments have been used to block all potential routes of subterranean termite entry points into the structure. Subterranean termites attempting to penetrate soil were either killed or repelled. The key, however, was to create a continuous barrier between the soil and the structure. Although the principle is sound, construction abnormalities,environmental pressures, and product degradation created gaps in the barrier. The gaps eventually allowed subterranean termites to enter and cause damage undetected.

Due to advances in chemistry, we are now able to use the behavior and biology of these termites to our advantage. Several new termiticides, materials designed to control termites, use a transfer effect causing the termites to pass the active ingredient through the social colony. These new products are proven to actually ELIMINATE the termite colonies affecting your property with very little impact on our environment!
